Reasons for Reccing: Is there anyone out there who remembers the Highlander television series? I know I wasn't the only one who was completely enthralled by Methos. By the author's own admission: I'm hoping to slowly wipe away the grime, peel back the false overlays, and eliminate the yellowed varnish of the ages, to reveal the true Methos (my version, that is). And reveal she does! I loved the complexity of this series, the bits of Methos' sordid past and eventual triumph with his friends at his side. It's going to take you awhile to get through the series, but I promise you that it's worth it. I was laughing one minute and moved to tears the next. It's a wild ride and one that's still relevant even though this story was completed in 2001.
