"It's weird, but I never said you couldn't. It means something to you after all. I won't take that from you."Leo is one of Elliot's most precious people, not only a servant but also a best friend, someone to trust and rely on. He is someone Elliot always wants to keep close, and the reason for it is really simple; Elliot can always rely on Leo to, no matter what, be honest and see things and people for what they are. That includes Elliot. Most might think that someone who basically insulted Elliot several times first thing they did would be at least greatly disliked but the fact is that this is exactly why Leo came to be so important.
From the very beginning, Leo has done nothing but speak to Elliot as anything but a noble, to Elliot himself and that was exactly the kind of person Elliot wanted to serve him. He honestly trusts very few people, but someone who doesn't butter up to a noble can definitely be trusted. Basically ever since they met Leo has been someone Elliot has shared his most important thoughts and secrets with, things he doesn't share with anyone else, and he has always trusted Leo to never betray or go behind his back.
But Leo is also the biggest frustrating idiot Elliot knows. He knows that despite how he relies on Leo and tells him everything, Leo still doesn't do so in return. More so since he came to Kannagara, but that was only thanks to a dream and it angers Elliot that without that it would probably never have happened. He does most often at least not lie and say it's nothing but he has done that too and that is something Elliot absolutely hates. It's one thing to say that to a stranger, but they're friends and Elliot knows all of it is mutual. Then there is also the fact that Leo seems to be willing to disregard everything for the same of doing something for him and while that might be somewhat touching? He doesn't like or want it because in his eyes Leo is worth more than that.
And Leo doesn't seem to think so.
There is so much that Elliot wants to change, because Leo is really important to him and, damn it, he doesn't come to care for a person who is rotten and has no worth! It's all very frustrating and makes him want to shake the idiot. He needs to do something, he has decided that. He's just not fully sure what or when.
Gilbert Nightray
♥ # Ω"...you just want to make me feel better don't you Elliot."For a long time now, Elliot has... not hated Gilbert, but had a lot against him. He has never stopped considering Gilbert family, but he has felt like Gilbert doesn't quite return the sentiment, and felt betrayed. And while he no longer really feels the former anymore, he definitely feels the latter still. But not as intensily as before, because there is this one thing.
He has realised that Gilbert never once really left his side as a brother. Gilbert left the house, but that's really all he did. Because with the death of his sister and Break's accusation and Gilbert stubbornly sticking up for him despite how he's sometimes so cowardly and that it's Break, his superior in Pandora... Elliot now feels that he still can rely on Gilbert. Especially considering when he came to Kannagara, there was only Gilbert and Break from his own world. Who was he supposed to levitate towards?
Gilbert of course.
Vincent Nightray

"You're only responsible for you, Elliot, and you're a good little brother."There is something strange about Vincent, Elliot is aware of as much, but still a Nightray and despite everything Elliot trusts him more than he trusts Gilbert (though there was definitely a bigger gap before Kannagara). Because Vincent has always been there, he has never left, not for any stupid reason, and that means a lot in Elliot's eyes. He does question some things Vincent has said, for example that thing about Gilbert hating the Nightrays and just how true that is, but he also wants to trust Vincent.
If he can't trust his family, then who is he supposed to trust? It's enough that he feels that Gilbert betrayed it, that's exhausting enough, so he doesn't want to worry about how much he can trust the only other sibling he has left now. They're the only family he can really count on, and with as unsure he is of Gilbert, he wants to feel that he can be sure with Vincent.
The problem is... he can't quite be either. And he's not fully sure where that leaves him. Vincent has shown nothing much but care and compassion since his arrival in Kannagara, but Vincent is Vincent and that complicates things, and it doesn't matter how much he says complicating things isn't good or how it went. Elliot can't really help it...
Xerxes Break
# #”Now that's uncalled for. Even though you harbor the delusion that you have the skill to carry out that threat~"For the most time Elliot has been very neutral about Break and not paid him much mind, aside from worrying about him when he was injured. He's a member of Pandora and a pretty important one too, so that has meant that he's someone to treat with respect. But now that... really doesn't matter at all.
Now, Elliot hates Break with every fiber of his being. There is nothing that reedems the bastard in his eyes. To think that Break could so easily accuse him of killing his family still baffles and infuriates him as much as it did the moment it happened. It doesn't help that even here in Kannagara, where Break is from an earlier time, he just thinks that he's so amazing that clearly his future self must have a point with accusing Elliot of that and thus he should believe it too. And that confidence only adds to Elliot's anger about it.
Plus, he needs to be constantly wary of what Break will do next to find out more.
The very worst thing, though, is that Break has managed to make Elliot doubt himself and him knowing that he just didn't do it. Because how could he have? And he really, really wants to be sure about this but... Break has managed to plant doubt into his mind. Which hurts.
Oz Vessalius

Oz is an idiot. No matter what happens between them, this is something Elliot will always think. It's what he thought from the start and thus he'll always think it, but this doesn't have to be an entirely bad thing. He thinks most people he knows are idiots in some way or another, after all. But from when he's taken, Oz has definitely grown away from it some.
The problem is that the Oz in Kannagara is from before he even met Elliot, and this honestly irritates him quite a lot. He put a lot of time and effort into his speech back then, or something, and now he'll have to do it all over again if the time for it comes up. So irritating. But he will happily do so because he hates that part of Oz so much, especially because it inflicts him so much unnecessary pain. Because at the end of the day, Oz is his friend.
And he can admit that, he really can. Just grudgingly so.
Sharon Rainsworth

Sharon is definitely not someone Elliot knows well or is close to, but he likes her enough. She has manners and she's kind, enough that he can ignore the slight bitterness there is about her care for Break. But, well, there is also the fact that she doesn't swallow all of his crap so maybe there isn't really any reason at all to be bitter at her for it.
So Elliot is going to try not to be, though it is hard because he just... kind of really hates Break that much.
But Sharon is a good person and he has nothing at all against her, so given more time together (and that's likely to come since they're in a foreign world and all) they could become friends.

"Unseal me, okay? That Mad-Hatter needs to die, just a little!"...this one developed in a funny way. See, Elliot hasn't had much of a real opinion of Alice before. She has seemed odd and weird and overall rude, plus she's a Chain so something to be wary of but... he has come to decide she seems almost... human. No, not almost, she seems fully human.
He's not fully sure what to do with this realisation, really. Since Alice unexpectedly followed him at the Matsuri Festival and somehow managed to coax him into a dance without a saying a damn thing and on top of that somehow actually being able to dance like a real lady... he has looked at her differently. He almost... Well, no, he does like her. Because she has shown to be more than just a rude Chain that invades his personal space too much (which she still very much does), but a girl who is... kind of sweet in her own way. And he slowly started to care more and more for her...
Because it turned out that she was someone who would support and comfort him in ways that weren't directly comforting, or something along that line. Their friendship grew with the fact that they got into the habit of keeping one another company after bad dreams. Alice became someone that he can rely on and trust, fully. Never mind that she's a Chain; she's so very much a human too, in his eyes. She's Alice.
And now, apparently... she's very important.

"The burden of a name is not something I would run from...but names themselves have power tenfold, so have a care in how casually you bandy such claims about."Yuui is most definitely one of the bigger idiots Elliot knows. There is a lot about the way Yuui thinks, especially of himself, that Elliot wants to change. Not only is it in general all utterly stupid no matter how understandable (even when on such a level that Elliot finds it hard to fully grasp) but it's ought to be hurting those that unlike Yuui actually give a crap about him. Elliot hardly considers himself a very close friend to him, but even he finds it kind of hurting through all the anger and frustration at the whole situation. So what about those really close?
Yuui honestly angers Elliot in a whole lot of ways and seems to have some special knack of managing to do it. Perhaps it's a lot because of this that he has somehow come to give so much of a damn. Simply the way Yuui talks, especially to him, and acts just makes him want to make some sort of difference, the only problem being he's no longer sure what because arguing with Yuui just doesn't seem to work. He wonders if he can perhaps reach the idiot some way through his precious brother Fai...
In a way, it annoys him that he seems to care so much because Yuui is a bit of a prick who both thinks too highly of himself and too lowly. Too highly of his opinions would be a good way to put it; from how he decides that some little kid definitely cannot understand his suffering or whatever. Elliot absolutely hates having his own views belittled and his attempts at helping completely rushed off. It kind of makes him wish he didn't care, but all of that goes against everything he believes in and he simply cannot let it be like that.
It's simply not an option.
Fai Flourite

And Elliot can say that he's probably among the kindest people he has ever met, which... may not be that great of an amount, but it is... fairly amazing, anyway. Just like his brother, though, Fai is also an idiot whose views Elliot wants to change. Those two are simply way too alike and it's a little scary and ridiculous and simply so... very, very stupid.
It's frustrating and saddening to see and Elliot really wants nothing else than for both of them to understand how stupid they are because no matter what they believe and tell him... All he sees is bad luck, nothing that they should blame themselves or. Even if it might be difficult... It's just...

And it really angers him to hear and see all of it and see the effects it has on them. It's so unbelievable.
At least Fai is more open than Yuui and actually ave some clearer answers. Being open about it is a start?

♥ ♣ #"Well, at the moment I'm trying to get you to take my hand."Basically, Gau is kind of like Oz, in Elliot's eyes. Sometimes they even seem like these sparkly cheerful twins or something even. Annoying, pushy, childish but also with moments of seeming kind of adult, Gau is someone Elliot finds himself sighing tiredly in recognition at more than getting honestly angry or simply irritated enough to start yelling at, uh... loudly, anyway. Perhaps the fact that they're slowly heading towards friendship (he can admit) shouldn't be surprising and perhaps... he's not quite so surprised as he could have been.
Especially after Gau appeared in his dream (so weird) and sparred with him and offered some kind of weird cheering up and insight, he has decided that Gau is perhaps a pretty good guy. At least... tolerable enough and not impossible to be around, perhaps even enjoyable.
And even if frustrating as hell, fighting some weird demon chicken things with the guy was kind of... fun? Despite the damn hug that followed the success.
Kinomoto Touya

"My mother and I used to sit at the piano together when I was a kid, and my little sister would try to hum along."It took a surprisingly short time for Touya to become Elliot's friend. Or, well, surprisingly and unsurprisingly short time. Because of sharing the whole piano playing interest it was perhaps not so difficult at all consider that, somehow, they seem to mesh. Elliot may have partly at first approached Touya because he really lacked someone to talk about music with since Leo wasn't there, but he probably would have even if Leo had been, so that's alright.
A bit of a touch of faith or whatever even so, though.
But Touya has hardly been simply a replacement for Leo; these two are way too different for that, really. Touya has become someone important who Elliot truly enjoys spending time with. He's a bit amusing in some ways too, and Elliot has discovered that he seems to have a weird soft spot for people that amuse him. Perhaps he can somehat begin to understand why people mess with him, although... nah.
But Touya is a friend, despite, ah... apparently having a serious crush on a guy. Not... that weird, perhaps.

♥ ♣ #"Well, at the moment I'm trying to get you to take my hand."Basically, Gau is kind of like Oz, in Elliot's eyes. Sometimes they even seem like these sparkly cheerful twins or something even. Annoying, pushy, childish but also with moments of seeming kind of adult, Gau is someone Elliot finds himself sighing tiredly in recognition at more than getting honestly angry or simply irritated enough to start yelling at, uh... loudly, anyway. Perhaps the fact that they're slowly heading towards friendship (he can admit) shouldn't be surprising and perhaps... he's not quite so surprised as he could have been.
Especially after Gau appeared in his dream (so weird) and sparred with him and offered some kind of weird cheering up and insight, he has decided that Gau is perhaps a pretty good guy. At least... tolerable enough and not impossible to be around, perhaps even enjoyable.
And even if frustrating as hell, fighting some weird demon chicken things with the guy was kind of... fun? Despite the damn hug that followed the success.
Kinomoto Touya

"My mother and I used to sit at the piano together when I was a kid, and my little sister would try to hum along."It took a surprisingly short time for Touya to become Elliot's friend. Or, well, surprisingly and unsurprisingly short time. Because of sharing the whole piano playing interest it was perhaps not so difficult at all consider that, somehow, they seem to mesh. Elliot may have partly at first approached Touya because he really lacked someone to talk about music with since Leo wasn't there, but he probably would have even if Leo had been, so that's alright.
A bit of a touch of faith or whatever even so, though.
But Touya has hardly been simply a replacement for Leo; these two are way too different for that, really. Touya has become someone important who Elliot truly enjoys spending time with. He's a bit amusing in some ways too, and Elliot has discovered that he seems to have a weird soft spot for people that amuse him. Perhaps he can somehat begin to understand why people mess with him, although... nah.
But Touya is a friend, despite, ah... apparently having a serious crush on a guy. Not... that weird, perhaps.
