I am at a place in life where there is nothing I want more to head to my parents' home, sleep late for a week, and have everything be fixed.

I am also at a place in my life where this is not really an option, and I need to stand up and get things done.

It's just hard.

I'm going to talk at my grandfather's memorial service tomorrow, and I'm not sure how I'll make it through. well that was ... unforseen. to say the least.

So, I'm down at my great-uncle and aunt's house, outside of DC. Great Uncle played massive amounts of football in his youth, was a Representative, and ran for both Pres. and VP, and was on Reagan's cabinet. (No, Lina, I am not making this up). Today, one of my grandfather's best friends, who I considered a surrogate grandmother, passed away. She taught him how to play piano.

I walked outside at midnight and it was snowing. There was something about the new, fresh snow - a new lease on life - so calm, so quiet, so beautiful. I love and miss her very much.

I am entering all my books that I own into a digital archive-type thing on my computer, where I scan the barcodes and it automatically gets information about the book for me - what fun! [ delicious monster ]

I currently have 226 books, and I'm not done yet!
