Right now is the first time in this entire vacation that I don't feel like a smelly tourist. It is so hot here. Today we went around and visited our old haunts in Hanoi. It felt weird to say the least. I read a good story earlier, a short story from an English literary magazine featuring new writers. New writing is very underrated... it really can be great and sometimes, in my opinion at least, is better than the classics simply because it's literature that is "just yours" instead of something that is shared universally. If that makes any sense.
I'll be back in New York on July 7th and will need to get a job as soon as I get back. I was thinking of working at Barnes and Noble, Borders, or Whole Foods. If anybody knows of any openings or has any ideas, I'd be grateful to hear them. Oh yeah, and I'm in another play and it opens August 5th and runs for three weeks. The theatre is right next to a headshop, if that's any incentive.
"The Celestine Prophecy" is a really cool book. Actually, I thought it was bullshit while reading it, but it makes more and more sense each day. Kinda weird.
I really need to hit the bong. It's been weeks now, and all this productivity is killing me.
