update
wow, where to begin?...last time I updated was in 2011. crazy.
so, last we heard from me, I was unemployed after getting unceremoniously (and unjustly) fired from my longtime job as a night auditor. after a short stint on unemployement, I got my current job. I'm currently working for the State of Colorado, as a clerk at a Driver's License office. ironic, that I haven't had a car in years and I'm the one giving drive tests. after years about bitching how I had never worked at a "real" job (and what is a "real job" anyway?), I finally have one. 8-5, monday thru friday, weekends and holidays off. and it's kinda shitty. LOL. only because it's stressful. it's busy, people are bitchy, rules rules rules. but I'm surviving.
close friends have came and went in and out of my life. I gained a best friend, my dear friend Ted, who was my roommate for two years. he's just moved out of my day-to-day life, moving to San Francisco to be with his bf and do his internships from school. a lot of people said that he was the best thing to happen to my life, as being around him gave me a companion, which honestly I desperately needed. and now I'm in need of it again. really trying to find a roommate, which he couldn't help with, but he did help with introducing me to some really good guys, who I hope will turn into good friends. I just need to get the fuck over myself and get confidence to socialize. that may even mean going to the bar by myself. ughhh.
or I could try to move again. I nearly moved to Portland over the summer, but it fell through. I just can't seem to get out of Colorado, though try as I do. It just never seems to happen. I don't know what's up with that.
I still haven't had a date in...gah. It's now over ten years since I've last had a serious romantic interest. I'm 37. one has to start wondering if it will ever happen. one has to start wondering what one has to do to make it happen. I dunno.
anyway, I'll probably think of other things to write about that have happened. good to be back, though.
oh, and I'm reeeallly into drag queens lately. they're neat!
