Police are still looking for the persons responsible for shooting Jazz Diva Emily Dee and new pop heart throb Wren Dubois.
Dee and Dubois were walking down Main Street in Mesa on Wednesday of last week when a car drove by them and the occupants opened fire. Onlookers and police investigation could not confirm if the performers were the targets of the assault or the store that they were standing in front of at the time.
"Mesa has experienced an increase in crime and gang activity over the last few months, its a real shame that these two folks got caught up in that." Sgt. Edward Meyers stated.
Dee is recovering from a gunshot wound to her left shoulder. Dubois is scheduled for surgery this morning. HIPPA laws restrained the hospital from giving commentary; but Quick Jazz Records offered the following statement,
"We are all very concerned about the condition of Mr. Dubois. He is part of our family here at Quick Jazz and we will do anything possible to help him in his recovery." Quick Jazz records asks that all inquiries and well wishes for the performers be sent to their offices. A ten thousand dollar reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and capture of those responsible.
Persons with information are encouraged to contact Silent Witness at (480) Witness.
