pleasant and productive weekend

Another weekend comes to an end but I am fairly pleased with how it went. With no plans I was afraid of a boring Sunday so I decided to go to Shibuya and visit the big Loft there. Being the vampire that I am I didn't leave the apartment until about 6 when the sun was going down. If I don't have an earlier appointment this is always what happens, I only go out after the sun goes down. Of course there is a Loft close by in the Lazona shopping center but the one in Shibuya is so much bigger and has a lot more stuff. I really wanted to look at cosmetics and spent a lot of time browsing. Loft is great because they also carry tons of foreign brands so it is easy to find things I am familiar with. I ended up spending more than I anticipated, partly because I found some perfume that smelled very similar to a scent I'd found a long time ago but can't find anymore. It's called Tiary Diamond. It's a little weaker than what I used to get but still smells pretty good. Of course, perfume usually is a little pricey so it all added up pretty quickly with my other items.

Afterwards, I went to do some more browsing around the area. It is obvious that winter is on the way as all the styles have pretty much changed for the season. Lots of coats and jackets in the clothing stores. I dropped by Zara to pick up a white tee. I usually avoid wearing white but thought it might actually go well with all my black. They had tons of new items. I sure wish teachers got paid more. I also wish I had a bigger closet since mine will probably be overflowing pretty soon. I gave a quick visit to the 109 and my favorite shoe store. All the boots are back for the winter and it looks as though western style boots will be the "in" thing this season. Some nice shoes there but as usual I don't have the money for new shoes. Finally I decided to head back home, went to the Sanwa supermarket in Lazona to pick up something to eat and then back to the apartment. It wasn't too late when I got home so I actually got some cleaning and other useful things done finally. I could even vacuum. I wanted to get up earlier the next day so I managed to go to sleep by 4:30.

On Monday I wanted to go to my city office to pick up the certificate I needed for the visa. I had planned to get there about noon on my way to my voice lesson but then Monday morning I realized that most government offices are closed between noon and 1 and if I waited till 1 I would be late for my lesson so I got a little extra sleep and decided to go after the lesson instead. My lesson today was pretty good and I was invited to perform at the Christmas show in December for my teacher's choral group. Of course I accepted but I will have to decide which song I want to sing and then really practice.

Afterwards it was off to the ward office to get my paperwork. The most difficult thing about this was just getting to the office which is not close to the station. The last time I had to go I got so confused. It was raining and i was sick and I was lost for 2 hours before I finally figured out where the place was. This time I had a much better idea where I was going even though it has been nearly a year since the last time but it is still kind of far. Once there the lady at the information desk told me exactly where I needed to go and everything was pretty quick and smooth, no difficulty at all. Now I can send that off and wait for notification that my visa is ready.

Next week is a long holiday weekend. I was hoping to do some traveling with friends but it seems those plans have kind of unravelled so I scheduled a voice lesson for Wednesday and am seriously thinking of visiting Harajuku. I haven't gone in months and I really want something from my favorite shop: hEAVEN. I will also probably drop by the HMV in Shibuya to get the new D single, Tightrope, that's coming out. Till then, back to work, hopefully the week goes smoothly.
