This week's groceries from the Cooparoo Markets

Nov 07, 2010 22:07

Due to the day at the Good Food and Wine Show, we weren't able to pick up our week's groceries at the West End markets nor the Jan Power Powerhouse markets.

There's been a bit of buzz about the new air-conditioned markets in Cooparoo, so I thought we'd check them out and see if they might make a good fresh fruit and veg supplier. I'll put up a review in my next post. In the meantime, here's what we picked up.

  • Spring onions x2 bunches
  • Tomatoes x4
  • Bak choy x1 bunch
  • Japanese pumpkin x1
  • Rocket x1 bag
  • Broccoli x1 head
  • Garlic x1 bag

This came up to $13.30 - a lot less than our designated $30 spend. And no fruit either. Unfortunately the other produce was poor, so I had to pick up some mushrooms, okra and avocadoes at Woolworths instead.

Roasted pumpkin and garlic will definitely be on the menu this week.
