So many reasons to give thanks and a few concerns
My Thanksgiving was great for the most part. Spent a great day with my Family and later Jared's. The day before I spent the whole day in the kitchen with Jared's Mom working on food. It was a blast. I always have so much fun in the kitchen especially making things I know people will like and also trying new things as well.
It was nice seeing my Mom and everyone at her dinner. I hadn't seen my brother or Kira and their kids since the wedding. Star is getting so big so fast now. I took some pictures of the kids I will post soon. I am concerned about Kira she has been diagnosed with a degenerative bone disease that may very well lead to her needing rods or pins in her legs. My aunt Mary had a degenerative disease in her back and had numerous surgeries. A few of those involved rods and pins. I know that she suffered and I would hate to see anyone else go through that. Kira gave me a hug as we were leaving my Mom's. She told me she loved me and not to worry about her she was tired because she was up late working on the cakes she brought. I didn't believe it though she looks so sick and worn out. Please remember her in your thoughts and prayers.
Other than being so concerned about Kira Mom's dinner went very well. All the food was great. Dinner with Jared's family we always end up missing most of. Every year we try to work it out to be at all of both dinners but it never does. Either way everything turned out great and I was really happy about it. I always enjoy spending time with Jared's family in so many ways I feel like I fit in with them more than my own.
I took my Dad a bunch of the food and desserts I made. He didn't eat while we were there but he did tell me later that he enjoyed it he just hadn't felt much like eating lately. I want to thank everyone who has been remembering my Dad. He still isn't doing so well but I can see he was a bit better. The birds were cracking me up with their antics too. It was a nice visit all in all. Though some of the things he said did concern me. Like I said just continue to remember him please.
