30 Day Meme: JAPAN
DAY 06 - Food that you swore you would never eat but now love (or tolerate).
whole little fish, raw eggs and fish. when i first came to Japan i couldn't even imagine eating such things and it took me a year+ to get up the courage to try but once i did...!! raw egg and tiny fish (or as i like to call them, omgthelittlefishies) on top of rice became a common meal, as did whole small fish (= omgthekindalittlefishies). sushi and sashimi were instant loves and now i would rather die than be without them, that's how crazy i am for the stuff. thankfully i've found good sushi and sashimi here although i cant get omgthelittlefishies anymore and i dont dare eat Australian eggs raw. :(
