...really need to update lj more often, but there hasn't been anything big or interesting to update about lately.
i'm still jobless and i haven't heard back from the RSPCA lady in a week. ;( when she first called me on the night of the 7th, over a week ago, i was at the Ekka so i missed her call. i returned her call the next day and left a message on her answering machine but have yet to get a call back. i've called 2 more times over the past week+ but always got her answering machine and didn't leave another message.... maybe she went on vacation after calling me? i hope she gets back to me. ;(( anyway, i need a PAYING job and still haven't found much... all the temp jobs i find either all want experience in the field or are in areas that i'd rather not work in... :(
onto happier news, i FINALLY got the 11 boxes that i shipped from Japan at the end of June. getting them has been a hassle.... on the Japanese end of the shipping process everything went fine without problem but on the Australian end there were a lot more issues with communication (or rather lack there of) even though the Australian companies spoke English! grrr.... fucking shipping company was REALLY unhelpful and the freight company (because my stuff went thru 2 companies) wasn't any better. if it weren't for David's parents who came with me to pick up the boxes, i probably still wouldn't have them... ;( but anyway, i have my boxes now so i'm happy. not sure if i should unpack them all because we may be moving in a couple of months.... but i unpacked my bike right away and went for a ride. was great. 8) i really missed my bike, which i will from now on refer to as Yellow. it's really nice having something from my daily life back in Japan here....
sigh sigh. i probably need to lower my "standards"(?) for job searching or else i wont find anything... will more than likely have to go into an industry that i really want nothing to do with... ;(
meh, i'll just listen to music and sort photos to make myself happier for now.
edit: oh yeah. i changed the layout of my lj to a simple and hopefully temporary thing until i find more inspiration to do better zzz....
