fkin laptops!
first off, thank you to everyone who commented on my last entry! your ideas are all very much appreciated and have been noted. <33333 :]
the verdict is in on my VAIO. i had been wanting one and now i have one. a reason to throw it out the window and/or over my balcony buy a new laptop! >_<;;;;
yeah... i had been wanting reason to get rid of the thing (it has issues that annoy me), but now that i actually have reason to lol... i kinda wish i really didnt have to dish out the money needed to get a new one? i want a new laptop, but goddamnit i just FINALLY started saving money!!! >_<;;; why now?!?!? ...although better now when i atleast have money to spend if need be and i even have a netbook to fall back on in the meantime... vs some other time when i`d just be SOL. *sigh*
anyway, i said i was going to wait until payday to take the VAIO in to get checked out, but i got impatient and found out that just getting it checked out at PC Depot is free anyway. the person there said that he thinks the hard drive is probably fine, that it`s the motherboard that is dead. he said that only Sony could fix that and he gave me an estimate of 40,000 ~ 80,000yen for what Sony would want to do it. i checked out Sony`s website and they gave an estimate of 56,000yen.
thats fkin HALF of what i paid for the damn thing and HALF of what it would cost to get a new laptop!
i seriously dont think the thing is worth that, especially since i`m not even 100% happy with it. it needs more RAM (for the second time!) and it gets hotter than hell, which is probably what killed the motherboard. the heat it gives off might just kill the new motherboard 2 more years down the road. :/ meh.
LAPTOP SHOPPING TIME?!
i can live with my netbook as my main computer for only so long.... i need a cd drive, i need a bigger screen and a better gfx card for gfx and video purposes...
having had 2 laptops die on me in 2 years has made me a pretty... picky selective laptop shopper. maybe i should pretend that hell has frozen over and give a mac a chance... i`d feel like such a hypocrite.
edit:seriously is the friggin ES textbook called 英語ノート (English Noto) or 国際化ノート (Internationalization Noto)??? of course the students wont be able to recognize 1~10 in 5 foreign languages without the teachers going over it and i doubt most teachers even can. >:[ same goes for Lesson 1. >_>;
