another trip to the hospital; plane tickets
back from the hospital. the doctor(s) that i saw today (different doctors than the last two i`ve seen) concluded that my right foot should be well enough now to recover on its own, so my foot wasn`t redressed and wrapped this time. they (two doctors looked at my foot this time) said that i shouldnt need to come to a hospital again unless it gets worse again and that it should be alright to take a shower, provided it isnt too hot.
right now my foot doesnt hurt, but it is still swollen. despite them saying it should be alright to shower, i think i prefer to continue avoiding the shower for now. i`m so afraid my foot will start hurting again... ;-; i dont want to do anything that even has a chance of making it worse. i can only hope that my foot really does recover now on its own.
called mom about grandpa and she doesnt know much about his condition either, it seems. she only found out what she did because she got a text from my dad (who lives in Virginia with my grandpa) telling her the previously mentioned bit of information, but dad has been staying at the hospital with grandpa so he can`t answer his phone...
it`s really sketchy how much time grandpa has left because of various health problems that he has besides this most recent heart attack, so if i want to see him... i need to go to America as soon as i can. but talking to my supervisor today, it doesnt seem like i`ll be able to go until the end of April/beginning of May. :/ i have some office days at the end of March that i could take off and go on, but... x-x it would cost 1,000$ something round trip and would probably hender my plans to visit the rest of my family later on.... x-x; but.... it is better to see grandpa sooner rather than later... he may not last until later.
...looks like i will have to do that. friday is payday, i can wire the money to the US so i can use my debit card to pay for the tickets online. in the meantime, i can work out the days off with my supervisor. i really hadnt planned to go back to the US this soon, let alone spend so much just to go to Virginia (i had hopped to take many days off and visit all of my family on one trip), but oh well...... luckily i managed to save money this month rather than blowing my whole paycheck, so i can easily afford the tickets once payday comes...
