:sigh: i was lazy the past couple of days and didn't update... things have pretty much been how they've always been these days. helped teach 3 lessons at Otsu on wednesday, then did more self introductions on thurs + fri at Ikku. thursday and friday all of my self-intros were for first year classes, and to my joy, all of the first year classes were great. :) attentive, not rude and genki but not overly so. the JTEs added a question time to my self-intro lessons (something that hadn't been done in the 2nd yr classes) and that even went well. the students asked me questions! :D you have no idea how hard it is to get questions out of middle schoolers. :[ yay for Ikku's students. as i said before, i think i like Ikku's students better than Otsu's, but i still like Otsu as a school better than Ikku... we'll see if that changes. i also helped give speaking tests to the first years on friday. english club is still rough around the edges at Ikku...
it had been raining and overcasted the past couple of days, but today it was a beautiful day. so i tried to go somewhere today, but i had slept in till after noon and then upon just setting out to explore, i came across a Book Off (a store that sells used books/games/CDs/DVDs at usually nice prices) and ended up spending so much time there that it was dark by the time i left. so i came back home. ;-;
this Book Off is really close to my apartment, just in a direction i hadn't really gone before, and it has an AWEsome selection. better than the Book Off by PC Depot. w00t! i almost got some anime artbooks.... Gensoumaden Saiyuki (!!! <3), NANA (<33) and Gundam Wing. but then i wandered over to the DVD side of the store and saw 2 Sound Horizon DVD sets.... D: I LOVE SOUND HORIZON GAAHH!! ><; i haven't been able to find their DVDs anywhere else besides other Book Offs and [barely] at Animate. and they had a DVD none of the other places had.... they had the DVD companion for Elysion, the CD that i own and love. D: the DVD has live performances for ALL of the tracks on the CD, plus extra tracks that weren't on the CD, and there's a second DVD that has the PV of the song i posted a while ago + the making of it. awesome awesome. it was expensive, though.... ._. 5,650yen. so i had to sacrifice all of the artbooks i was going to get. :'[ but i'm glad i found this DVD instead of having to order it. >_<
btw. let it be known that up until this point i hadn't bought ANYTHING but food. i had kept my goal until now. two weeks without buying anything...! big accomplishment for me. ^^' but i dont plan to buy anything else... as long as i can explore my surroundings over the weekend without being sucked into buying something that isn't food. D: only 1 more week until payday....
.....going to watch my new DVD set now and eat clam chowder (!!) because my throat feels crappy.
