Productive yesterday. I applied for a job and I emailed my instructor about Work-Study programs in the hospital this summer. The question of what to do this summer was hanging over my head, and now I am not so anxious about it, I'm actually looking forward to what's in store.
I really hope I get to work as a Camp Counselor, it would be so much fun. I did this job back in 2002 (7 years ago geez??), and it changed my life. I love the outdoors and I love being around people who are passionate about helping disadvantaged kids. However, I sent in the application late, so I do not know how strict they are about being on time.
Another worry is, the Camp Directors are friends with me on Facebook. I realized yesterday afternoon that they probably got to see my Photo Album of the Nursing Party we had last month, with pictures of me dancing in drunken glory. Not so great if I'm trying to get hired to take care of kids, right? We were warned about the dangers of Facebook or Myspace at a job application workshop in Nursing School; employers will sometimes research your profile online, so I guess I should be more careful about what I'm posting on the Internet. I even thought of going back and privatizing all my blog entries.
Party at B's house tonight, and I'm gonna make a nacho bean dip to bring. I have yoga at 7:30, and before that mom's gonna show me how to cook a Roast Beef, the French way, the way her mommy did it.
