(no subject)
I'm at Nat's house while she visits her best friend and her new baby. I can't believe I'm leaving in 2 short days. Time is flying, I am having so much fun.
Last night we watched "Anchorman", well, half of it! We ended up stopping halfway and talking. I love talking with Chant and Nat because we go through so much of the same stuff. I wish they lived closer. We've talked a lot about relationships, marriage....... our hopes and dreams for the new year.
When 2009 started, I was dancing with Chant and Nat. New year's was at the Empire Grill, a classy restaurant in downtown Ottawa. We got the party started! After dinner Nat rallied the other tables seated around us to get up and start dancing to the DJ. When midnight struck we were dancing around screaming out the count-down. i think we were a little late (according to my cell phone) but we made our own midnight haha.
Saturday night we had a girl's night at Nat's friend Trish's. there were 8 girls, lots of good food, wine. (oh! that's a thing i LOVE about french people... there's wine at all occasions) We talked about relationships mostly. Some of the girls were married, and they were sharing openly and honestly about how hard married life is. I guess wherever you are at in life, it's hard work.
I am grateful for my family. I am so glad I could get away and have fun over here. I walk around with a heavy heart, but Chant and Nat understand, and it's getting better. Chant had a cheesy "Break-up" CD that we've listened to. "I will survive"!!! haha
I don't want to leave here, but i am looking forward to starting school again and moving forward with my career. 2009-- we graduate :)
