I am writing an entry.  Oh boy, I bet you can't wait to read all this junk.  Here we go...

Going back to last week, nothing important to say about Tuesday.  Worked, was bored.  We're shifting the entire fiction section so that's taking up a lot of time, which is a good/bad thing.  Makes things go faster but it's hot in the library so it's not the most enjoyable thing to be doing.  Wednesday...worked all day.  Again, I don't remember there being anything important to say.

Thursday....no work, went to this Democratic Convention party thing at the Puritan Conference center with Beth and Erin.  Dave was there, he works for the Kerry campaign, which is pretty cool.  There were some speakers there, like John Lynch (what a terrible last name to have).  Seemed like a nice guy, but all politicians are meticulate about their public appearance, I'm sure.  There was a big projection screen with the Convention down in Boston being shown on it.  We watched Kerry speech.  My thoughts: wow politics are goddamn frustrating to think about.  Basically I sat there listening about how crappy our nation is right now, how terrible the president is, etc etc, and I wasn't sure how to react.  My first reaction was to make change happen, yet that never actually seems to, well, happen.  All those thousands of people on the convention floor have put their trust into this one guy (well, two if you count Edwards), and there's just so much hope there.  And all politicians make promises, and they go into that job with so much hope, idealism, and ideas for a better tomorrow.  Yet it seems that once they're in office none of that happens.  But that's me being pessimistic.  So I dunno, if I could vote, I'd vote for Kerry.  I'm basically in the anyone-but-Bush boat.  I wasn't sure if I should scorn those people for believing in this Kerry guy, or praise them for being able to trust someone so fully in a way I don't think I could do.

All in all, I was reminded of how dirty politics is, these candidates are practically made to look like gods, yet I'm sure Kerry has some skeletons in his closet.  And what if he loses?  So much money has been spent on this campaign, so many people are going to be let down.  Bah, I think I'll stay out of politics, thanks.  It all just makes me want to stay as far away as possible.  Anyways, after that whole event was over, the four of us went to Bickfords, and had a good time.  Got home around midnight, I think.  Stayed up 'til god knows when, watched Leno and Connan.  Laughed, fell asleep.

Friday...I don't remember anything happening Friday, or Saturday for that matter.  Worked on Friday for two hours but that's it.

Sunday was a very, very good day.  First off... DOOM 3 WAS LEAKED EARLY AND I GOT MY HANDS ON IT (but I actually bought it legally a few days ago, so I'm not a crook or anything.:P) .  I found it got leaked, and was overjoyed, but I had to leave to go to Shivahn's party, so...

Shivahn's party was excellent.  A lot of fun, lots of people were there from YRUU, as well as random friend's of Shiv's who I didn't know.  I had a hamburger and some pasta, and laughed a lot.  Bryce, Chris, and I basically hung out for the first little bit, then Alex showed up and he joined the party.  We played Pychiatrist (spelled wrong, don't care) at one point, but it didn't work out too well because certain players couldn't follow the rules... ahem.  We also went for a walk at some point, and went across the train tracks, through a forest trail.  It was cool.  I crammed into the back of Alex's truck, and got driven home.  Once home I got started on finding a source to get Doom, and eventually I got the download started.  I met Bryce and Chris down by Smyth a little later, and they came up to the house.  Bryce played Doom 2, and we checked out some screens of 3.  Flash-forward to 11 or so, and I'm finally playing the game.  Flash-forward 3 hours, and I'm sitting, playing the game with the lights out, headphones on, being scared straight.  Yes, the game is good.  The game is awesome.  The game is absolutely stunning to look at, as well as play.  And surprisingly enough, it plays decently on my box, even though I have a low-end video card.  That's good. :)

So Monday, I didn't do much but play Doom.  Bryce and Chris came over again, and I showed them the game.  Went to work at 5:30, worked for three hours.  Installed the game on Peter's computer early that day, it looks even better on his.  His computer is a powerhouse compared to mine, so that's no surprise.  Damn.  Yesterday, again just more of the same, went to work from 12:30 - 5:30, came home.  Bryce came over and we played the game some more.

Today was my last day of work for the next four days. :)  Had to work a full day, though.  Basically, we did more shifting of the fiction section.  We're up to the H's now, so we're a little more than halfway done.  Jason, Savannah, and I were supposed to go to lunch together, but... someone forgot!  So I just went to Cesario's by myself and had a sub.  Yes, it was good.  Came back, more shifting.  And more shifting.  It was a pretty slow day, so we didn't have much to do.  Got home at 5:30, ate dinner, then fell asleep for an hour (I was tired).  Got up at 7, and went over to Bryce's for a haircut from his mom.  She did an alright job, I can't compain since it was free.  It's a little shorter than I would have liked, but at least I can wear my baseball hat now and not look like a fool.  Yay.  Tonight I'm determined to get to sleep relatively early (before 12, maybe?), so that I can wake up early tomorrow (like... 10), and actually enjoy my day off.

What's coming up?  Well, this Friday is the 3rd Annual YRUU Campout!  It's in Greenfield State Park and goes until Monday morning.  This is basically the event of the summer, for me anyways, so I'm excited to go.  I just hope it doesn't rain again, like last year.  Sleeping in Lake Yamaguchi wasn't fun.  But I'm sure it'll be a good time even if it does rain.  So yeah... no work tomorrow, got Friday off, so I don't have to work until Monday at 5:30!  Whoopee!  That's all.
