I'm sitting here being really, really bored. I have nothing else to do, so I think I'll update this here journal.
New York was nice. The ride down was really long, but the ferry was neat. When we arrived at the house I met Aunty M, and got my stuff unpacked. That night I met more of Bryce's relatives, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, the like. We ate dinner in the backyard, I ate plentifully. Had some good salmon. I'm beginning to lose track of the order of things, but in the course of my stay in NY, we... went to the beach, got some really good pizza, went crabbing, walked around a bit, ate at various peoples' houses, and slept. Also, I saw MacGyver for the first time, and we watched Bad Santa, which was pretty funny. Plus I helped install Aunty M's DVD player, and Uncle Lenny's VHS player. Mr. Tech Dude, that's me. All in all it was a good time, but I was happy to be back in Manchester. It's good to be home. :)
The Thursday we got back we were supposed to have a Vampire game, but that didn't work out. So I didn't really do much of anything that day. Friday.... I can't remember what I did Friday. If I remember anything important happening that day, I'll put something here. Saturday... I don't remember anything happening either. Gee, I lead a really boring life. My parents went to go see a concert at the Verizon, Crosby Stills and Nash played. Okay I'm losing my mind. Saturday I went to Nick's party. We watched part of The Matrix, and part of The Goonies. You couldn't hear anything, of course, because Nick's speakers suck. After the movies, we played some hacky sack out in his driveway, but then decided to go play in the Wendy's parking lot because it's brighter there. However, we got kicked out, and had to play in this other parking lot. No biggie. Nick roofed his sack about half an hour later, so we got into the car to go home. Instead of doing that, however, we went to this weird abandoned church thing that's supposedly haunted? I dunno, I've never heard of it, but it did look pretty creepy. I'dve gone in it, but apparently we were trespassing so we drove off quickly. When we got back to Nick's it was like...11:30 or something. Alyssa gave me a ride home, and then I sat at my computer for the next three hours or so. Fun fun fun.
So apparently, even though my brain doesn't believe it, that happened Saturday. Which means there's this big gap in my head as to what I did yesterday. I remember meeting Bryce, Alex, and Chris down by Smyth, them coming over, and them watching me play Doom, but that's about it. So nothing exceptional must've happened other than that.
Today, again, nothing exceptional. Woke up around 10 (I've been doing that a lot lately. Waking up early while in NY must've slammed my sleep schedule back, closer to normal), and played Doom. Peter made maccaroni and cheese and I had that for breakfast. I watched some Simpsons, played some Far Cry, went for a walk, washed all my work pants and hung them up, washed my work socks and threw them in a basket. Yes, a productive day (<--sarcasm). So when I went into work at 5:30 I was actually very eager to work. See, sitting around the house doing nothing all day is okay (except for the mind-numbing boredom), but it makes you feel REALLY, REALLY unproductive. So when I go into work I'm pumped to actually do something for once. Even if the work I do is pointless (no matter how fast I shelve books, there will always be more, a never-ending supply). I saw Monsieur Krause there today. And when I say saw, I mean it, cause I certainly didn't talk to him. In fact I ran for stack the moment I saw him hunched over the computer. I got back from work at 8:30, yup. Really exciting.
So basically my life this week has been - wake up, play Doom, watch Red Dwarf/Simpsons, browse the web, listen to music, go for walks, occasionally actually hang out with people. I think I've reached that point in summer where I REALLY WANT SOMETHING TO HAPPEN... like school, as much as I hate to admit it. Doom is actually really fun to play...and this time I'm playing through it without cheats. I'm actually on the last level right now. :o Granted, I'm on the easiest difficulty, but that's still something. I remember playing the game back in first/second grade, and now I'm actually playing it for real. How 'bout that...
Tomorrow I get to spend another 5 fun-filled hours at the library.... oh boy. I can feel the boredom already, but I'm getting paid so who's to complain? :D
