so i enjoyed those posts. livejournal is a good one.
i just finished by german thesis, although it still needs a lot of revisions. it compares Thomas Mann's undertones in a book he wrote called "the Buddenbrooks" its kinda like german wuthering heights but i only hated it half as much to karl marx's perception of money and religion. its all in german of course so nice to get it outta the way.
now only an arabic final and a gov't paper seperate me from sweet wintery homeness. i am really excited to get this break since i havnt really had more than a week off from school since last march due to the timing of german semesters. the real world and lack o breaks is going to be a rude awakening.
i'll be putting in time at the amc over break. its so hard to turn down what i almost view as free money at this point. i'm looking to leave the continent for a while post graduation just cuz i know if i stay local i'll get complacently stuck in jobs for amc or for my dad at the publishing company. my primary target at this point is dubai and I've been speaking with some hamilton alumni who live over there. i'm really not good at networking yet though, i just dont have the right questions to ask, i really think i could do any career as long as i am working with ppl that i like. this is terrible according to our career center staff who tell me to make lists, charts, and graphs in order to attempt to limit down my options.
