Writer's Block: Forbidden Reading

Oct 19, 2008 19:17

Clan of the Cave Bear. Nuff said. But I, like the OP, knew where her stash was, so I read them at night, under the cover with the Magnalite. Once she caught me, she pretty much let me read what I wanted. I read things like:

Interview with the Vampire series
The rest if the Clan series
All of Joan Collins' books
The V.C. Andrews series
The Joy of Sex (1 and 2) (This one she still dosen't know about)
JUDY BLUME (I already had the boobs, though)
My dad's Playboy collection (the pics from the seventies were WAY different!)
All of the Steven King books
A.N. Baudelaire books (I was precocious, okay!)
Dad's porn stash (dosen't count as reading, but faking like you're sick on Sundays so you can teach yourself how to work the
     Betamax VCR should count, dammit.)

Okay, damn, from this list, I guess I was not a kid with many boundaries. What do you expect from a kid that started reading when she was three?

writer's block, ya, teen reading
