The best things in life are free
Not a lot happened this week so I haven't really had anything to update with. Spent the whole long weekend at home doing nothing because I have litterally no work to do during the week off, though I pretend I have heaps so the parents don't take advantage of the situation. I couldn't really be bothered calling up heaps of people or sending SMSes en mass to get something happening. I'm tired of always having to initiate.
I did go play poker on Thursday night and at long last won the draw for the free bottle of sponsor-provided alcohol. Huzzah, free booze is the best booze. It's Wild Turkey burbon though, which isn't really my thing. I'll have to figure out how much it's worth retail and see if anyone will randomly swap it for the equivalent of vodka or something.
Taking Sami to see Ironman tomorrow night as I'm supposed to review it for Grok. My editor called me the other day and was like "hey do you want to review it?" and I was like "is the Pope Catholic? I love you so much right now."
So yeah, just to make it really clear: I'm seeing Ironman tomorrow night before the rest of you, for free, and I'm taking my best friend as my +1. Let the hating commence.
