Before I start, I just want to wish Mister Pete Wentz a happy 31st birthday! -balloons fall from ceiling- Since tomorrow's a "free" day, I'll do a picspam of FOBSlash (Peterick and Trohurley because I told
symphonyofslash I'd add more pictures. :3)
Now on with today's regularly scheduled programming.
"Dying is easy, living is hard!"
-Wilson (from House)
I think Wilson really makes a good point here; everyone dies in one way or another, but everyone has to live in order to get to that point. Dying could be a simple matter of pulling a trigger or walking while the sign says stop, but living is something we all approach differently.
"What makes a man a man? A friend of mine once wondered. Is it his origins, or the way he comes to life? I don't think so. It's the choices he makes. Not how he starts things, but how he decides to end them."
-Myers (from Hellboy)
I truly believe what Myers says here. A man's (or woman's, for that matter) character should be judged by what they do, not where they're from.
"Sometimes things end up getting predictable, and alot of bands want to stay in that, and that's fine. But for us it was like, 'I don't want to be comfortable, I want to challenge myself in any way I can.' (...) You only get one chance. For me, I feel like I have to push boundaries every single time I go at it, musically, otherwise I'm just cheating myself. It's do or die. You have to. Or else I'm just going to be miserable."
-Billie Joe Armstrong, USA Network's Character Approved
I live by this quote. It was all I was thinking about when I did my BJ inking. Kind of "WWBJD?". But he's right. What good is it when you don't give it your all? You're only cheating yourself.
On that note, Hank watchers, I will see you on Sunday. ...tomorrow.
