Catching up . . .
I've really been working on these. . . :) Been actually in the process of designing my new armor, also been studying hard for my next Calc test. Also designing my Sakuracon Anime Costume (I'm makig Al's armor from full metal alchemist) for next year. So . . . been busy. . but here's the update.
Day 7: a show or a movie that has changed you, and how?
Back in the late 80’s even at age 10 I was annoying my parents by trying to figure out how most of my toys worked. Usually this involved dismantling them. Sometimes I put them back together, but mostly I used the parts for something else. I blame the show “Small Wonder”. The father figure in the show was a cybernetic engineer. Robotics has always been something that’s stuck with me. Even now I’m trying to shoot for a masters in Robotics. Go fig.
day 8: things that make you sad.
Oh, not much makes me sad these days. Silly things in the past used to bring me down a lot, like chocolate in cheesecake always made me a bit sad. The fact that eating French onion soup means instant death ranks up there. Finding someone you thought you could trust completely locking lips with someone else when I rounded a corner didn’t do it for me either. Being overlooked and only having a handful of awesome people when I thought more would come to my wedding didn’t make me happy. These days, working with closed minded extreme right-wingers really gets me down.
day 9: things that make you happy.
The little walk from my parking spot at home to my front door when it’s crisp and slightly rainy makes me happy. The leaves when they turn color in the fall make me happy. Getting a good grade in calculus makes me feel fantastic. The smell of fresh bread at the farmers market is to die for. The look and feel of old dark wood at an Irish pub on the Seattle waterfront makes me happy since it feels like home. Flying in an airplane and seeing clouds below you gives me a thrill. My Church Warden’s pipe makes me happy. I just need it to be a bit warmer outside so I can smoke it without freezing. OH. . and fireplaces and fire make me happy.
