update time!

So now that its been sufficiently long since my last real update, i shall add an entry:

I just had ten days in a row off from work.  hell yeah!  Life is sweet.
On top of that, online poker during that time off netted me just as much as i make working for a week.
On top of that, I took a sweet trip to Denver for the second half of the week.
The trip was pretty cool.    It was quite nice really, though i could've have gone without the 6 hour delay in atlanta on the way back yesterday.  But, considering we were flying in the exact same type delta-comair commuter jet that crashed 24 hours earlier, i'm not really complaining!

Colorado is quite a place..  A nice long weekend in a nice hotel, in a nice city, with my extremely nice girlfriend was just what i needed to cap my summer.
We saw the sites of denver and surrounding areas too; including the Coors Brewery which was nice enough to give free tours and 3 free beers (shut up any beer snobs reading this, cause it tastes fine to me and i really don't give a f*%@, plus they make Blue Moon anyway), Red Rocks park and ampitheater (which has to be the coolest place anywhere to see a concert), and a few other random sites in the area.
One place i had a lot of hopes for was the National Renewable Energy Lab, but it turned out to be pretty pathetic.  I was hoping to see lots of exhibits and displays showing the tremendous possibilities for alternative energy sources, but instead it was pretty much a 7th grade science fair exhibit.  "this is a solar panel.  The sun can power things.  Ooh la la."    The pinnacle of the display was a 2001 Honda Insight hybrid car.  Wow.   State-of-the-art!!
It was definitely operating on a George Bush-renewable energy budget.
No wonder we are stuck on oil and coal for the near future.

I'm sure i must have done some other semi-interesting things during the trip, but i'm rapidly losing interest in this update.

I will, however, leave you with this hilarious story:

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran Challenges George Bush to a Debate

Does anyone else think this is funny?
Of course Bush would never agree to this, but not cause of Iran being an "evil-doer" or whatever some people think.  The main reason is that this dude would mop the floor with Bush, and i'm pretty sure everyone knows that.
What a sad state of the union.
