I watched "Who's That Girl" this morning with Madonna and Griffin Dunne. Well I didn't watch it with them, though Griffin Dunne was quite attractive in 1987, and I wouldn't have minded his company. I understand the whole story behind the movie...rich lawyer guy engaged to uptight millionaire socialite, gets thrown together with off the wall Madonna and falls in love...yada yada yada. Regardless of her star power, and any ability that Hollywood would have at making her lovable, I couldn't stand Madonna in this movie, which made it extremely difficult for me to believe that Dunne's character could fall in love with her. How could he stare at her adoringly as she's smashing cake in her face and grabbing herself? It was almost as if I were watching two halves of two different movies...that if I changed the channel, Dunne's movie would come full screen, with him romancing Olivia Newton-John, or Madonna's leather-clad movie where she's chasing Booger around a car impound lot. I know, I know, it's just a movie..but aren't these lame romantic movies designed to be believable?

I somewhat wish that my truck wouldn't pass smog. Maybe then my dad would be so fed up with it that he'd buy the gorgeous 65' Mustang that's for sale around the corner. Oh well, one day...
