I just got back from Sacramento, from what proved to be an extremely draining weekend. Found a place to live though, so that's good times.
I had the most morbid thought today. I was watching the news, and they were doing a segment on a local soldier who had been killed in action. Whenever someone tragically dies, they always show a little collage of pictures of the person with their friends, family, etc. I started thinking about the pictures I would want my mother to release to the press. Unfortunately, in our country, a woman is nothing without her looks, so I would rather give her the pictures where I look half way decent; that always engenders sympathy from people. As someone said before, "It's such a shame, she was so pretty". I'd much rather have that than someone say, "well, it's probably better off that way, she looked like a crack dealer."
So does this line of thinking tell anyone what the weekend was like?
