All I was ever going off was this statement of yours... "In the movie he's fucking hesitant about one more? My ass. So the movie does a good job of making Jewish holy men look blood thirsty, and Pontious Pilate look loving and compassionate. Slightly distorted."
And yes... in the movie and the bible he is hesitant... not your ass. And are you really that offended that it makes the magistrates look "blood thirsty"? I mean... I think gibson did that for the sake of the story... I mean, the jews were the ones who brought jesus to Pilate to have him tried in the first place... so says the bible. What do you want to have them portrayed as? "Ummm.... could you...maybe... please... have this man executed?"
That's another thing I don't understand that you keep bringing up... sure, it may make the magistrates seem quite mean and pilate quite compassionate... but it doesn't do that in general... it shows other romans rippin jesus to shreads soon afterwards and a jew helps jesus carry the cross after that..
