They say he's living in total squalor in London. WTF?
Well, it's not totally far from the truth. He's not living the high life, but he's not on the streets just yet;)
Honestly, I never even thought of Elizabeth because I didn't even know she was there. I now wonder what she thought/how she felt at that very moment. But, yeah, definitely intriguing.
Oh yes, she was there. It kinda shocked me the first time I saw it because it just seemed like of course Paul was going to say that it was her he was talking about, but no no. The uneasy relationship between David and Elizabeth has always been not the greatest. They're very much alike, which may be why they couldn't get along more than they did.
Just like when Starsky, in the 'Gillian episode', basically says the most important person in his life is Hutch when, after all, his mother is still alive..or isn't she (I'm asking this because they're airing episodes in the most random way possible, not in order)?
Yes, she's still alive. Calls her every Friday night:)
Do you know if/where I could find transcripts of the episodes or, at least, the slashy parts of the dialogue?
There aren't any transcripts. However, most of us know the shows backwards and forwards, so if you need specific lines I'll be glad to help you with them. I wonder if you're seeing uncut episodes, however. No channel, to my knowledge, airs uncut eps and alot of them hack up the eps so badly that a great deal of the slashy scenes are taken out, along with tags, specific lines, etc. DVDs are always your best bet for getting uncut eps, but even then there are about 5-7 eps over the 3 seasons of DVDs that are cut since nobody had the original masters. There's a scene in Nightmare that I've never seen ever because the master of the ep doesn't exist.

Yeah, well, it just irked me because it 'sounded' disdainful and unnecessarily mean from the page. =P *pets Davey*
It kinda shocked me the first time I saw it
I can see why it would, now!
The uneasy relationship between David and Elizabeth has always been not the greatest.
I'm curious: what exactly do you know about their relationship? *is intrigued*
Yes, she's still alive. Calls her every Friday night:)
I thought and remembered as much, but I had to ask because there are so many episodes I have yet to see that I wasn't sure whether things had changed by that episode or not. Thanks for confirming that for me. =)

As a matter of fact, I do: 1) I'd like to know the exact words Starsky says to Hutch in the scene in which they're 'working as' hairdressers, when he says Hutch is even more handsome (this is basically where I'm guessing because the Italian word is 'bello') when he's angry.
2) I think I read this transcript on your Ship Manifesto but Starsky apparently says stuff like this all the time, *lol* so I'm not sure if it's from the same scene; I'm talking about Starsky commenting on how beautiful Hutch's eyes become, again, when he's angry. Side comment: could he be more obvious?! O_O I am happily amazed.
3) Hutch gets stung by a bee (on his butt, I take it, lol), promises to show the offended area to Starsky (again, the obviousness is overwhelming), who comments on how lucky that bee was. *brainfreeze*
4) TOW Starsky says he likes men who know how to resist the euphoric sentimentalism of Christmas.
Finally, I was wondering which your favorite books on the guys are, both as S&H and Paul & David themselves (if such books exist).
I'm afraid the episodes they're airing are not uncut, which is why I'm dying to get the DVD sets. The only problem is that they're not exactly cheap (especially over here), so I'm afraid I'll have to buy them one at a time. Not to mention I'm an obsessive-compulsive collector of Backstreet Boys stuff, so you get the picture, LOL.
Tomorrow's my birthday, though, and I'm going shopping with mom this afternoon, so who knows... ;)
Do you have AIM and/or MSN Messenger? I've got both and my screennames are, respectively, brijusqueerasfan and bsb_theanswer2mylife@hotmail.com, in case you ever want to chat. =)

Elizabeth was not fond of David. It's pretty much an open secret. She tolerated him moreso than anything else and from her perspective I can understand why. She was never into the Hollywood scene and Paul tried not to be, but then you have David who represented everything that she didn't like--pure Hollywood. Paul was pretty much existing between the two worlds. If you ever get a chance, read her biography. For someone who meant the world to Paul, she downplayed David alot. Sad truth:(

You gotta narrow it down more. Are you talking about the Huggy and Turkey episode or the Dandruff episode? Starsky was Mr. Marlene and Hutch was Mr. Tyrone in Huggy and Turkey, then they switched roles and Starsky became Mr. Tyrone and Hutch became Mr. Marlene (a very, very gay Mr. Marlene) in Dandruff.
2) I think I read this transcript on your Ship Manifesto but Starsky apparently says stuff like this all the time, *lol* so I'm not sure if it's from the same scene

So you're wanting the quote of the entire scene?
4) TOW Starsky says he likes men who know how to resist the euphoric sentimentalism of Christmas.
Not sure what TOW stands for;) but you mean the Little Girl Lost opening?
I have AIM, but I'm hardly ever on anymore. (kimberlyFDR) You'd be more apt to get me on email. I love chatting, so drop me a line sometime.
I hope I'll get a chance to read Elizabeth's biography, thanks for yet another tip. ;)
It's sad and intriguing at the same time that Paul had to live between two magnets like that, so to speak. And, despite everything you've told me, I still can't help having trouble imagining David as a Hollywood 'party animal', but I guess that's because I still know very little about him and I'm a little biased by Hutch. =P

The "Huggy & The Turkey" one. ;)
Do you know how beautiful your eyes become when you are angry?
Thanks and...guh. It sounds even better than in Italian. =)
So you're wanting the quote of the entire scene?
No, from 'the promise' to the 'lucky bee' part.
Not sure what TOW stands for
HeHe, sorry, it's a "Friends" thing. Every episode of "Friends" has a title that starts with TOW = The One Where... ;) I think that's the title..I mean the one with Molly, the little girl who wants to live with Hutch. Who could blame her??

Bust Amboy: I think your dubbing has changed the tone of the scene;) The actual lines are--
H: "That bee just inquired."
S: "About what?"
H: "A not too distant relative."
S: "The misfortunes of man."
Bonus--the car scene: "Not tonight, I told you I got a headache."
Little Girl Lost: "That's what I like, a man who can resist the euphoric sentimentalism of the season."

Oh, then the 'bee scene' must be the exception to the 'Original Dialogues Are Always The Best' rule. *g*
