Surprises at home
OEX was amazing; we saw God do great things! People were ANXIOUS to hear about Jesus and were excited to give their whole lives to Him! I miss the team, the nationals, the school, the exchange rate (haha), but PPD hasn't hit me this time around. Maybe because I know I'll be back again soon.
Home has been full of surprises:
1. I've been having great talks with my mom! We've been having REAL conversations about DEEP things-- like support-raising, evangelism, our weaknesses, how to speak my dad's love language, etc . . . I actually have a good time talking with her. And we hang out a LOT! She's a normal human!
2. I thought I had no work hours, but one of the coaches needed to take a week off because she was feeling burnt out. This just happened to be the week that I return! I ran into my boss on Monday when I was working out, and he asked me to coach the kids every day this week! Not only do I seriously need the money, I also love coaching!
3. There is a PEACOCK (technically a peahen) loose in our neighborhood! My mom says it's just been strolling along the sidewalks for about a month now.
It didn't like me getting too close, so it hopped/flew up onto a gate.
And then it hopped/flew onto my neighbor's roof.
