monday, monday
i realized i haven't updated in awhile, so while i have a moment to spare, i think that i shall now...
i am LOVING this weather...what a dramatic change from saturday to sunday - thunderstorms, lightning, downpours and hail to sunny, no humidity, beautifulness... i want this weather all the time... i guess i would have to move to san diego for that.
my dad said that it was 120degress in the sun in athens, and 100degress in the shade... HOLY SWEAT YOUR ASS OFF... and people are doing athletic competitions - that's just insanity - but hey, if i made it to the olympics, i would probably compete just the same...
yesterday was a good day - i went riding in the early afternoon and got some color (its about freakin time since ive been stuck in a studio all summer) - i am lovin my riding lessons... my instructor is awesome - shes around my age, so thats cool and she was pretty impressed that i never rode english-style and hadn't been on a horse in like 2 years, yet she said that i did well on my first lesson. im glad that im doing something fun, even though its costing me like 50 bucks a week to do it... oh well...its worth it, i think anyway...
then i went out to dinner with my mom and had the yummiest italian food that you could ask for - i love that restaurant... its the bomb...
then i went over to anthony's and hung out with stu and a couple of their other friends and we played texas hold'em... its was good times... we only bet like 5 dollars each to put towards the game and i was proud that i wasnt the first one out -- then we went to the diner... i was made cause i wanted a black-n-white cookie and they didnt have any (but i guess thats good, since they are 600 calories - ridiculous i know) but its was good times... i wish that i didnt have to work nights and could hang out more often, but at least ill have two nights starting in a couple of weeks instead of just one...
had an appt today, and my doctor forgot all about me! it was like 20 mins after 1 and i had an appt at 1pm, so i went back downstairs to the front desk and they paged her and she was like "im so sorry, i lost track of the time..." i was like whatever - im obviously not the impt to remember to keep track of my appt time...
tomorrow my mom and i are going to see huey lewis and the news at westbury music hall... im psyched - it should be fun times - and wierd at the same time since ive never gone to a concert with my mom... but it will be cool since she was the one who brought me up on their music... and i got the tix for free from work so that makes it even better - AND im getting out of having to get her a b-day present so i scored bigtime on this concert...
anyway, gotta finish my laundry before leaving for work...
