Week 3 Topic 2

Having seen the film Stranger Than Fiction in the past I felt that I had a slight advantage over those who had not seen it before. When we watched the film in class I definitely payed closer to attention to the details. I have seen Stranger Than Fiction when the film was released a few years ago in 2006. Since I had seen the movie before I was able to focus more on the details than the basic plot line. By details of course I mean the literary elements. With the knowledge that we where going to be writing a paper over what makes Stranger Than Fiction a piece of litterature of course I viewed the movie differently than I had in the past. With this screening I was much more aware of the litterary elements throughout the entire film. This go around I focused less on the over all theme of the story, and focused more on the details like characters and different litterary elements. Whenever anyone watches a movie for a purpose rather than leisure there is always a different viewing experience.
