A Beastie With No Name
This is a pretty nice place, with $3 Guinness, for those who are into such things. I had a conversation with Rory, the proprietor, who mistook me for someone else when I walked in the door (it must be the hat). Among other things I learned that he's from County Carlow in Ireland and likes Andrew Jackson best among the Presidents, except for his interactions with the Indians. That's a little like saying one is fond of Hitler except for the whole Jewish business, but I will do my best not to hold it against him.
They run really late here - starting at 11 and going until 3:30 I think. I only stayed until 2 this time. I think it would make a good second stop on a pub crawl.
It's the same company which does karaoke at Bobby Love's, and they have a good catalog. They are a little lax about letting people double up in the rotation on duets, but they are far from alone in that. I will probably be back.
