Chocolate and Sushi...a bad mix?

The answer is "yes", at least for 45 minutes of last night. I guess snacking on 3 Musketeers and then sushi for lunch had a weird imbalance that brought about that old nauseous feeling topped off with a burning 'mini' fever. But I walked it off.

Halloween was slightly nuts as this was the first time I've ever handed out the candy. They started knocking at 6:20 God dangit. I wasn't even *dressed* yet; I was still on the phone with Miss talking about dinner plans and then they came. And they wouldn't stop coming for at least 30 minutes. It was like a convention out there on the streets. You could see them lined up coming down from the main road, hitting house after house. I (once I had pants on) started doling out the candy 3 pieces at a time to all the kiddies. Eventually I put the candy in my clone trooper helmet and started handing it out that way. At one time I decided to lay it up on the porch next to the light-up pumpkin. By the end of the night, it was perched atop the CFL lamp to greet/menace kids from afar as they approached the door; it took on some kind of PVC skeletal look once the insides were flooded with light. How apropo. The helmet had many uses that night :)I also decided to flag the kiddies down with some inane lightsaber twirling in the driveway. I also noticed at this time that they weren't coming anymore. Probably because they thought I was psychotic? (Bear in mind, I was also wearing the helmet...)

Among the kids I remember seeing 2 Vaders, a jungle power ranger (the red one), a horse jockette, Spongebob, and 3 twelve year old boys dressed as a caterpillar and an Arabian princess on dirt bikes. 12 year old boys. On dirt bikes. Arabian princess. Like, with a two piece 'Jasmine' thing going on. (facepalm)
Once Miss got home, she took over candy duties leaving me to don the helmet once more and stand behind her, hands on my hips, nodding approvingly at the children. That was when the dad of one of the Vader kids said "hey! You're his master!" At that point I stopped nodding and shook my head disapprovingly. Had I the time or the forum I would have calmly told him that I was a *clone* trooper and not a *storm* trooper. Clones served nobly alongside Anakin Skywalker in the clone wars and they treated him like a general with respect and he did the same. Instead, maybe I'll just write up a pamphlet of all the differences between pre-empire troopers and post empire--I could save myself a lot of time that way, AND educate the public :)

And I shall leave the rest of the detailing up to Miss' blog =D
