soooo, i'm sitting on my bed, feeling and smelling the humidity, watching the rain fall, (if i stick my hand out of the window, i can feel it fall), and avoiding writing my essay. i don't know why. yesterday i was at the library all day and i did not look at the clock for almost 6.5 hours... i.e. i got there at 11:30 and didn't look at the clock until 5:50 because the librarian was wandering the library ringing her bell (the old school way in oxford libraries to let the students know that it is ten minutes 'til closing time so you'd better check your books out quick!quick!).
clearly, then, i loved what i was reading. i have never just lost myself in academic work for six hours... three, yes. but eventually i look at the clock or get up and go to the bathroom. yesterday, i had *no idea* that much time had passed, which is even more funny when i realized i was sitting directly in front of a clock on the wall. now, i don't want to write... i just want to swim in the knowledge a little longer. but noooo, i have to jump out of the pool and get to work.
so here i go. i get to talk about democracy in india- how has it evolved since 1947? yes. i was made for this.
:D
