oh my god. i really am a complete loser!
i was listening to a song by *another group* thinking, wow, this is a fantastic song. i love the lyrics. so i look up the lyrics, and they are by bert jansch, who nick drake covers on his home recordings ALOT, and was one of his biggest influences.
which basically means that all of my music tastes, if plotted on a tree, would be thus:
roots:
bert jansch, jackson c. frank, and nick drake (they are the triumvirate)
trunk:
bob dylan, doors, jeff buckley
branches:
pretty much everything else.
