So much work.....must stay awake!

Looks like I'm gonna be updating this from school, since I may be here for a while. Hell, I've already been here for way more than a while, try 11 hours. Man, if I make it through this week, it will be a miracle. I've worked so much so far this week, I've lost count of exactly how many hours. And it's not about to let up. So far, I've gotten one of my models finished for my demo reel, I still have 3 others to get done by Friday night so I can do the animations for them all day Saturday. Plus, I have to get my resume and coverletter layout done, which is a lot more complex than it sounds. It's not just words, I have renders and sketches on the borders, so its so time consuming getting it all organized. I still have to make my business cards to hand out, and I have call back like 8 different gaming studios to set up interviews. Man, my life has been all work lately. The past 4 days, I've slept for like 5-6 hours each day, and the rest of the time I'm working. What's worse is when I finally do get home tonight, I have about 3-4 hours worth of work to finish tonight.

I finally got my interview with Sony set up yesterday. That's my most important interview. That's not to say my other interviews aren't important, but Sony is where I'm hopefully going to be doing my internship in May, so I have to impress them with my work. Some of the other studios I'm meeting with are Microsoft Games Division, Insomiac, Naughty Dog, Epic, and Activision, the Sony one is the BIG ONE. I'm so nervous that everytime I think about the it, my heart starts to pound ever so fastly and I get so jittery. I guess I wouldn't be as nervous if I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, I have no clue what's going to happen, what I should say, what they're looking for, etc.. And I'm still 5 days away from the conference! I can only imagine how worked up I'm going to be when I actually arrive in San Francisco.

Speaking of which, I got hooked up in terms of my hotel and roommate(I'm volunteering, so we share a room with another volunteer). I got put up in the suite at the Mosser hotel, right across the street from the Convention center, and in the middle of San Francisco. Right in the middle of all of the music lounges, clubs, restraunts, everything. It's like being right in the middle of Tempe Square. I'm also excited to meet my roommate. He's been to GDC a couple years now, so he knows where to go, what to do, who to meet, and everything in between. See at GDC, if you don't know what you're doing, you tend to get lost in everything going on around because there TONS of stuff constantly going on around you. Anyways, I have to get to work. Maybe I'll make it home in about an hour.....hopefully.
