What to do on Valentine's Day?

Feb 15, 2005 01:06

Well, Valentine's Day is over now, and there wasn't really that much to it. I was up to 5:40 am last night, working on my models for The Governing game. Man, these models are taking forever. I got up around 10ish, got a shower and headed to school where I proceeded to sit in front of a computer monitor for another 8 hours working on some animations. Sounds fun, huh. So when I got home, guess what, more work. But there was some highlights of the day. I went to lunch with that girl I met a few days ago, her name's Tiffany. I was surprised she even talked to me after making a fool of myself earlier(if you forgot, read my last post). Anyways, we went to lunch and everything was going fine until she started talking about relationships(it is Valentine's Day afterall). I don't think I was prepared for the amount of baggage she had with her. She's telling me about her ex-bf, and how he's still obsessed with her, and he was overjealous and the entire time she's telling me about this, I'm thinking, I don't want to get into this shit. I can't stand it when a girl has huge amounts of excess baggage from coming out of a previous relationship. You know what that tells me, You're not ready to begin a New One! I just don't have the time or energy to invest with a girl that is going to be a constant drama rollercoaster. Whatever happened to just dating, and having fun?

Anyways, I was checking out the Sin City trailer again today. Man, hands-down one of the best trailers I've ever seen, maybe the best. I just love everything about it, the mood, the stylish look of the movie, the characters, Jessica Alba.............definitely Jessica Alba. If you haven't watched the trailer, here's the link http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/sin_city.html . Go on, what are you waiting around here for? Trust me, you won't be disappointed after you watch it.

I was gonna update with a render of the Boss Model, I'm working on, but I've ran into some problems with Zbrush(which is the program I use for my high detailed modeling). For some reason, it's been fiesty about crashing every so often, which means unless I save the file every 5-10 minutes, I loose all of my work up until my last save point. I don't know what Zbrush's problem is. I think I'm going to get another copy of the program from Aaron on the Mod team. He's the only other modeler for the team, so we share a lot advice between each other since we're responsible for all of the models-human, organic, creatures, bosses, weapons, and many, many more things. As for the The Governing game, I'll give ya a quick update on it, more for the UAT people checking in. Right now, we're all in crunch mode, which means work your ass off. I have so many projects going on at the moment, that I'm constantly moving from one to the other. Even after loosing half of our programmers, progress on the game keeps going. We're finally starting to get models and animations into the actual game, along with scene music and sound effects. It's pretty cool. You're always working on your individual stuff, but then to see every aspect of a game come together-programming, models, animation, music, sound effects, lighting, levels, and everything in between- you're reminded how awesome it is to be creating a game. Well, I actually plan on getting some sleep tonight. Later ya'll
