Accentuate the positive
You know some nights you must sleep on your face or something, and when you get up and look in the mirror your face is all squashed and shapeless? I had one of those mornings today. However, I'm not going to take that as an omen, and am instead going to look forward to what I hope will be a good year in 2007.
- I'm not actually superstitious, but so far sevens and multiples of seven have been good for me.
- In March I'll be going to see my sister in Japan, a place I've always been interested in visiting. We plan on going to the hotel bar from Lost in Translation for a drink (just the one mind - it's expensive.)
- There should be some good theatre to look forward to. I've already got my ticket for Equus in February, for Mum's birthday I plan to take her to Spamalot, if Penny vists in the summer we're going to Avenue Q again, and there's a production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle coming to the National.
- There's a good chance Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be published this year; while the film of Order of the Phoenix is definitely due this July.
- I'm also taking baby steps at socialising more. I've rejoined Outeverywhere, have posted a couple of times in the forums, had a handful of messages and even listed myself as a "don't know" about going along to a "coffee posse" right here in Greenwich later this month. Oi, don't make fun, it's by no means a gay coffee morning. (It's in the afternoon.) If I get very daring I may even mark myself down as a "possible" attendee!
