It’s one of these quiet evening they use to spend together. There’s nothing unusual about it - except for the elephant in the room that’s been bugging James for days now. He hasn’t talked about the inevitable, but with every second that passes he realizes he no longer can avoid it.
"Sub will be here tomorrow," he finally says, nervous and almost afraid.
"Hmm ..." is all he gets from her. It’s not the response he’s expected and Juliet doesn’t even look up from her magazine, but it is enough.
James sighs with relief, only then realizing that he’s held his breath all the time (maybe even for two weeks).
