He had promised Jack he would kill him.
He had promised Jack he had to pay for what he did.
He wanted him dead.
Dead like Juliet.
Dead like the woman he'd truly loved.

He wanted Jack dead.
He wanted to kill him.
He wanted to make him pay for what he did to him.
Pay for ruining his life.
Pay for taking away his love.

Sawyer wanted Jack dead.
James didn't.

James wasn't Sawyer anymore, driven by vengeance.
But there was still enough rage left for payback, and
if he had to go through hell, so did the Doc.
