Had a Bad Day... (A long ass rant/gripe list)
I'm officially in a bad mood, and therefore I am here to rant... Be forewarned! 1.) School starts tomorrow, and I couldn't be looking forward to it less, 2.) I've been trying to get into the football playoffs - i.e. picking teams, actually watching the games and rooting for them - and I'm 2 for 4 so far, but the one team that I was actually really rooting for lost, and 3.) I just saw the previews for next week's Without a Trace, and the whole Danny/Elena kiss just depressed me. Oh, and I'm totally PMS-ing, which of course makes EVERYTHING better! Ha!
So yeah, school is finally starting again. I actually enjoy college and the whole atmosphere, but it's been so great to not stress over papers and tests and homework. Even if my reasons for taking a semester off had very nothing to do with the stress, it was still nice not to have it (or rather, the "school" kind of stress). It is kinda cool though. I just found out that a friend of mine just transferred over, and we're now going to school together. She's a year above me though, and she wants to be a nurse whereas I'm going to school to be a writer, so I doubt we'll have many - if any - classes together; but it'll still be cool to see her around.
Now, I'm going to rant on something that I never thought I'd care about...the football playoffs. So, I picked 4 teams to root for. First, the Patriots, because even though I never liked football before, I've always admired Tom Brady's athletic ability. Next, I picked the Colts. Two reasons: 1.) They're from Indianapolis, so NASCAR connection (yes, I know), and 2.) Peyton Manning, for the same reason as Tom Brady. Third, I went for the Giants. Again, two reasons: 1.) I HATE the Eagles with a passion - for many reasons, but a lot of it has to do with their players - and 2.) I'm a bit of a sentamentalist, and obviously, Peyton's little brother is the QB. However, it was mostly my hatred for the Eagles. Finally, the team I was really actually rooting for was the Cowboys. I'll admit that I first started keeping tabs on them because of Romo, but I actually started to like them as a team.
Thus brings my sadness and/or anger. So, WTF happened in that Seattle/Dallas game?! The safety, the attempted field goal...still pisses me off. That game was Dallas'! Damn that failed hold! I felt so bad for Romo...I swear he was gonna cry, if he wasn't already crying a little. Damn, damn, damn! *Calming down* I didn't feel so bad to see the Giants lose, even though I wanted them to CRUSH Philadelphia. As long as someone else does it, I'm good. But yeah...2 for 4. Just wish one of the two was Dallas. ***BTW, I have NO idea when I started caring so much about football or any team. Maybe it's the whole playoffs thing, IDK, but I'm still trying to figure out what happened to the old me... :Z ***
Okay, my last gripe is with TPTB of Without a Trace. When the hell are they gonna realize that virtually NO ONE likes Elena? You can't understand whatevery the hell she's saying, she's annoying, and she gets in between Danny and Martin. People between Danny and Martin are never good, but Elena is the worst. What I wouldn't give to have her killed off...*cough* I mean "written" off. I just saw the previews for the Danny/Elena kiss, so it's still fresh in my brain. Therefore, I'm gonna end my comments here, because I could really go on a big rant over it. I'm just gonna say this: I swear my PMS got way worse because of that kiss. Damn Elena!
Okay, I'm done... Life goes on. Well, 'cept for the whole Danny/Elena issue, because that kiss isn't until next Sunday, and I'm sure I'll have the desire to rant over it again. lol! But yeah, football goes on (and what was up with that rant?). Ironically though, I may have to start watching the some regular season games. Never thought I'd say that. :D
