Yesterday my mom taught me to put invisible zippers in to things. I started to make a skirt so that I could practice putting zippers in. Well on my first try I did not pay attention to straightening the skirt out before I put the second side of the zipper on so the skirt was really twisted up and I had to take it out. Once I had put the zipper in the right way I sewed up the rest of the side seam but it was really bumpy so I had to do that again. Today I should put on the waist band and hem it. I had to use the surger on the fabric before I put the zipper in and I am a little afraid of the surger because it cuts the fabric and finishes the edge at the same time. I am always afraid that I will accidentally chop off a piece of fabric that is really important.
