School is being difficult this term. We have one delightful professor of organic chemistry who insists that a class average of 50% is perfectly acceptable, even though it implies that half his students are not passing. This is unfortunate, and does not bode well for my chances of being accepted into graduate school.
In all sincerity, I am thinking of switching my major from biochemistry to psychology, specializing in neuro- and behavioral psychology. Still science-y with lots of lab hours, but I can earn better grades, and have more fun. (Because I sincerely enjoy psych. I wish I knew why.)
On a more cheerful note, HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! [Especially to the university students, who will party tonight and regret it tomorrow]
At my university, everything turns into a street party, or rather begins as house party and slowly oozes into the street. This morning, when I was heading to school at 9:30, there were already people celebrating, and now, at 3:00 in the afternoon, the parties are in full swing, and I can hear police sirens outside my window. This will, of course, go on well into the night.
[I will be at home tonight, studying for the midterm I have on Friday, because I am terrified of crowds and stepping on broken glass. I'm just cool like that.]
So, do you guys celebrate St. Patrick's Day?
