today marks the fourth consecutive day in which i have arrived to class still drunk from the previous evening's activities...
i kid you not, as i am certain that my blood alcohol level well exceeds this, or any other state's, legal limit. 'how can this be?', you ask. well, in an attempt to pinch pennies, i recently took a trip to the grocery store and purchased food for the week. 'seems reasonable enough,' you say. of course, my purchases were not limited to foodstuff alone, and i deemed it neccesary to buy one handle of Ten High, winn dixie's finest, cheapest bottle of bourbon. so, each night i have found myself retiring to bed after consuming several large glasses of the stuff (usually cut with about a tablespoon of water) and waking up the next morning in the same mannor in which i closed my day: drunk. pathetic? yes. unexpected? no. perhaps my liver has lost the abilty to properly filter the booze out of my bloodstream? i'm no doctor, but this seems to be the case. oh well, a 21-year-old would probably sit higher on the liver donation waiting list than most.
in other news:
jacky boy and la la are apparently making a pilgramige to baton rouge in the second week of october.
thanks to michelle, i'm happier than i can remember myself being in years. there's even talk of her coming back to san antonio with me for the thanksgiving holiday.
after speaking with fa about the details of his new life in los angeles, i'm decidedly more ready than ever to venture out of my comfort zone of baton rouge and see what this life has to offer.
my first deadline for my fiction writing class is in six days. i've been working on/thinking about/making notes for a story that, if finished, should end up being the best thing i've ever written. if so, i will most likely be using it as my manuscrpit submission for MFA programs late this semester. i will post the first draft at the end of next week.
my diet has been reduced to fat free cottage cheese, baby carrots, turkey, whole wheat pita bread, tricuits and sriracha sauce. i feel quite good and hope to transform this healthy trend of eating into a new lifestyle.
that's all for now...
