London (Marathon) calling.... or the Mid Life Marathon Marvels run (walk) again!
or "oops! we did it again..."
Best mate Sal and I are running London 2023 :-)
Back in the day I got a ballot place to run London Marathon, and Sal ran for Oxfam and we fund raised together.
After that Sal ran loads of marathons, ran Comrades, and is a total running Superstar....
Then in 2014 we ran New York Marathon together - it was epic (if a little cold and windy...)
Back to this year and Sal finally gets a place in the ballot after 22 years of trying! So of course I feel honour bound to run with her.
I have a place running for Alzheimer's Research UK - click here to donate. I hiked their Peak District Marathon with Mags and Kate in September this year.
So we come full circle and Sal will fundraise with me :-)
In the meantime, here are some picture of our greatest running / walking hits....
