The holiday break and the build up to it is always stressful. Partly because I'm not one of the Super Christmas types. I get 99% of my shopping done online during Black Friday weekend and I'm done, then it feels weird doing my "regular" shopping because everything's so crazy. I think I've mentioned before that my ISP is a "wireless" one. It's not like a mobile phone hotspot, it's more like an antenna system that they point towards the nearest broadcast tower (often mounted on water towers). It's not all that fast, but it's our best option at the moment ( Read more... )

As part of my b'day splurge, I bought a FitBit HR. Wore it less than 24 hours and recorded two nights of sleep activity, when I noticed my wrist was itchy yesterday around noon. I thought maybe I had the band too tight and since it's plastic, my skin was getting sweaty and it was rubbing against the band. Um... no, I think it was more than that.

My parents (OK, my mother) long ago gave up giving me an actual birthday gift and instead give me a little cash to splurge. I was already going to get a pair of shoes, so I don't think these count.
