USA Today: Women who love men who love men: The appeal of M/M
This is actually a non-snarky article about the genre. Don't see many of those. They even get M/M's origins in slash (and the origin of the term) right, plus includes the explanation that M/M is generally written by women for women, while gay romances are generally written by gay men for gay men. I think that's a pretty fair description, though of course there's a crossover audience.
There's also some recommended reads, and I was pleased to see Faith and Fidelity by Tere Michaels on the list. Love that book, and if any of you are reading the series, she just released a short story titled Cherish about the same characters gathering for Thanksgiving. It's short, but I like visiting all the characters again, even though one's a brat. There's a timeline issue that didn't make sense, but maybe it will be explained later. I'm hoping she writes more, either full-length or short stories.
