Wild creatures

My father has some outdoor cameras intended to capture wildlife, even at night. One is in a cattle pasture, while the other is outside the garage door. Earlier this month he caught a very wild creature on film.

The pose makes me think more George of the Jungle than Tarzan. "Watch out for that [thud] treeeee!"

*that* is a great picture! Definitely a good thing he's learned how to get down. :-)

Ahhh, I'm familiar with that kind of weather though the over 95F after 5pm doesn't see to last as long even here in south MS. the heat is definitely more brutal over there. We've finally dropped below 95 most days of the week but the humidity has been terrible as usual. It makes it hard to breathe.

My father tells me the cat's made it up to where the trunk splits into three branches, but the camera is a motion sensor thing and hasn't caught him up that high.

Humidity is the real problem when it's 90+. You can't sweat to cool off when it's humid.

Long cat is long! (Well, maybe not too long.)

Not too long, but he's about 75% full-size cat, but still acting 100% kitten.

Jonesy! (I can't remember if you've stuck on that for his name but it's law* that ALL ginger cats are called 'Jones')

And he's learning too. What's the next step? World domination?

And may I take this moment to wish you a very happy birthday as well.

*somewhere it is, trufax

My father is determined he's going to be called Fuzzy. He hasn't gone on a vet trip yet, but is almost of age, so I'll have to come up with a permanent name soon.

I think the only reason cats haven't already achieved world domination is the lack of opposable thumbs. And utter laziness.
