Sherlock Series 2 DVDs/Blu Rays, US editions
Twitter: Masterpiece PBS confirms that the US videos will be the uncut UK versions (which was what the last series was, so not a total surprise), and the release date will be May 22nd.
What I want to know is why they bother cutting? Do they think putting on the package it's the full UK edition will boost sales? (I remember when this was a "selling point" for the Highlander DVDs to have to so-called Eurominutes.) Or are they just married to keeping shows a certain length and have to cut to smush in their own pre- and post credits?
I'm now curious to see what they hack out of episode two. Morbid curiosity.
