Do you prefer the read/watch things in order? I always have, and in my years of working in the library, it seems most people do. They'll sometimes skip a book if we don't have it, but in general, they want the beginning, middle, and end, in exactly that order.
Except for this one guy, who's been blowing my mind for at least a year. He randomly picks books, finds an author he likes, then reads everything we have without regard to the order. Even in cases where we have the entire 20+ run of series, and I've told him we have them all, he doesn't care. He's been reading one author who has several series going, and one is pretty epic in length, and in his last checkout, he picked up books 3 and 16. This is a series that builds on itself, not one that just uses the same character(s) in different scenarios.
I can see reading/watching things out of order if it's a re-read/watch. I'm not exactly going to sit and watch all of the Marvel movies before Endgame comes out, but I do plan to rewatch Infinity War to refresh my memory and let my heart break again.
I'm just curious if everyone else is keen on the order, or if I'm just used to seeing it more due to where I work.
